Deep tissue massage therapy Newcastle

Deep tissue massage is not a treatment in itself but a technique used within a therapeutic treatment. Deep pressure is applied to manipulate particular areas of tension that has not responded to less intense massage techniques. When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Adhesions can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement, and inflammation. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement and reduce the inflammation.

This gentle yet extremely effective technique facilitates the body’s release of fascial restrictions. The therapist applies a gentle sustained pressure to the restricted tissue, which slowly stretches and releases it, reducing pain and restoring motion.

"The Therapy Rooms offer a great service, a wonderful welcome and excellent treatment from a very inspirational lady who keeps me going, straightens me up and relieves all my muscular aches and pains. I look forward to treatments from Tracy - couldn't do without her. Definitely make an appointment to visit if you are suffering from any aches and pains."

"Still amazed how straight I am standing after my treatment. I didn't know my pelvis was out of alignment, I just knew I was in pain. Now in after care mode with frozen peas and so much more comfortable. Relief! If anyone has back/joint pain but thinks it's just an ache that will eventually go away, then a visit to The Therapy Room is a must. I will sleep much better tonight. Thank you."
